The man known to most as Mindub started behind the decks back in Florida over eleven years ago, and one listen to this DJ's expertly programmed sets will prove that it has been time well spent. His tight mixing and amazing track selection never fails to move the booty. His mind-blowing sets have been heard all over the U.S. in cities like Oklahoma City, Pittsburgh, New Orleans, Nashville, Chattanooga, Tampa, Orlando, Gainesville, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, and now Atlanta; alongside such talent as Mark Farina, Derrick L. Carter, Halo, Marques Wyatt, Justin Long, DJ MFR, Colette, Chris Fortier, Kimball Collins, Jimmy Van M, DJ Three, Monk, Jask, Rabbit In The Moon, AK1200, Charlotte The Baroness, Sean Holland (Coco Machete/Fair Park), Mike Constantino (Soundproof/Fair Park) and many others.

Formerly the host of WRVU 91.1 FM's only deep house session, The Underground Alarm Clock, Mindub brought deep, jazzy, sensual house grooves to Nashville's airwaves for almost three years. His latest CD, Underground Alarm Clock:Session Three, showcases his fine talent. Expanding his sound even further into the virtual radio medium, Mindub's talents were featured on Steven Caicedo's weekly broadcast on Proton Radio, a highly-respected internet radio station based in NYC featuring quality mixes from all over the globe. When he's not in the studio, Mindub, co-founder of the Elevator Music Collective, is at the helm of "Hump" and "Audity Central", which are monthly events, along with "Spin Echo", which is a weekly night all devoted to deep house, downtempo, trip-hop, acid jazz, and drum & bass. These nights have grown to be Nashville's most progressive & successful underground events featuring the best local, regional & national decknicians.

Please help us in welcoming Mindub back to Atlanta for his first 4Deep Event @ Lava Lounge. He has been doing it big in Nashville for sometime now both as a DJ & Promoter; parties have included DJ Mes, Johnny Fiasco, Rithma, DJ Heather, Don Tinsley, Dizzy, Miles Maeda, Matt Bandy, Q Burns, and many more.

He has also just recently launched a party dubbed Tea Dance which routinely attracts crowds of 400+ every first Sunday of the month with rotating local deejays.

THU 8/2 Connect w/ Jonn Hawley (Milwaukee, WI)

4Deep Presents Connect
The Best Get Down In Town
Thursday August 2nd 2007

w/ JONN HAWLEY (MILWAUKEE, WI)
www.myspace.com/jhawley

Music and dance have always been driving forces in Jonn Hawleys life. At age nine Hawley learned to play the saxophone, cello, trombone, and stand up bass. As a teenager music continued to shape the course of Hawleys life; in the eighties he began break dancing in clubs throughout Milwaukee and Chicago. Unfortunately, in 1991 a knee injury ended Hawleys dancing days. Instead of backing away from his passion for music, Jonn was able to turn his misfortune into what is now a successful career by actively pursuing his love of music as a DJ.

Hawley drew inspiration from the budding house and techno music scenes in Chicago and Detroit. His career as DJ was influenced by the sounds of Derrick Carter, Ralphi Rosario, Mark Farina, Derrick May, Green Velvet and Fast Eddie. Hawleys musical talents were quickly recognized. Along with playing at numerous raves he soon found himself playing at some of the most influential clubs in Chicago and Milwaukee, such as: Karma, Red No. 5, Smart Bar, Mad Bar, Dragon Room, Tom Tom, Three, Dish and Thai Joes. He was also named resident DJ at Milwaukees Summerfest. Besides his many guest spots Djing around the country, Hawley is currently the resident DJ and music director at Three in Milwaukee.

In 1999 Hawley decided to put together all the pieces of musical knowledge he had acquired throughout his life and dive into the world of production. In 2002 Hawley began releasing tracks using the aliases Under Origin and 5900 West. He also established Foundation 75--his production studio. Then in 2003 Hawley launched his label, Soul Fuel Recordings at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, Florida. Currently, Hawley is busy releasing tracks on his own and with partner in crime, Heather Doble as the Sound Navigators on various underground house labels, like Bunchlox Music, Doubledown, OM, Control, Lingo, 3AM Recordings, Blockhead Recordings, Jackin Tracks, Utensil Recordings, Guesthouse, Kolour Recordings, Area Dj, Goodfamily Recordings, DAE Recordings, Chillin Music, Cadang Records, Olive Records, Hook Up Tunes, and his own label Soul Fuel Recordings.

Whether he is DJing, producing, or running his label the one sure and unchanging characteristic of Hawleys style is this: He will never be ordinary.
